How to treat worms in cats?

How long does It take to treat worms in cats or kittens, and how often should they be treated?

Typically, kittens require treatment every 2 weeks from when they’re 3 weeks old until weaning and then monthly to 6 months of age. After that, they can follow the same treatment routine as adult cats; usually at least every 3 months – or more often if they’re often hunting and scavenging outside, and even monthly in high risk situations when living with children for example.
